What’s the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
Pressure washing uses high-pressure water (typically 1,300+ PSI) to physically blast dirt and grime off hard surfaces. Soft washing uses low-pressure water (around 100–500 PSI) combined with safe cleaning solutions that do the work chemically. Pressure washing is great for concrete, brick, and other tough surfaces. Soft washing is the right call for siding, roofs, painted surfaces, and anywhere high pressure could cause damage. We use both — the trick is knowing which one your specific job needs.
How do I get a quote?
Call us at (904) 233-4396 or fill out the form on our Contact page. We typically respond within a few hours during business days.
What areas do you serve?
Jacksonville and the surrounding Northeast Florida communities. If you’re nearby and not sure, just call.
How long does a typical job take?
It depends on the property. A standard driveway cleaning runs about 1–2 hours. A full house soft wash usually takes 2–4 hours. Bigger or more involved jobs we’ll quote a time window when we estimate.
Do I need to be home when you clean?
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to water and the areas to be cleaned, we can usually handle the job without you being there. We’ll check in before, send pictures during/after if you’d like, and follow up to make sure you’re happy.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Fully licensed and insured. We’re happy to provide proof of insurance on request.
Do you offer any discounts for new customers?
Yes — first-time customers get $25 off their first clean. Just mention it when you book.
I’ve seen $99 pressure washing deals advertised. Why does Bee Clean cost more?
Honest answer: because there’s a real difference between a $99 wash and a quality job — and unfortunately a lot of homeowners learn that the hard way.
Here’s what you’re actually paying for with a professional wash:
- Commercial-grade equipment. Cheap operators run consumer-grade machines that put out 2 gallons per minute. We run commercial equipment that pushes 4+ GPM. That’s literally twice the cleaning power, which means twice the thoroughness in half the time.
- Surface cleaners, not just a wand. For driveways and concrete, we use a round surface cleaner attachment that delivers an even, streak-free clean. A guy with just a wand will leave “tiger stripes” — those visible lines where the spray overlapped — and you’ll see them every time you pull in.
- The right chemistry. Algae, mold, and mildew don’t just need rinsing — they need killing. We use professional cleaning solutions that eliminate the biological growth at the source. A water-only blast just pushes it around, which is why those cheap jobs look dirty again within weeks.
- Real insurance. If a $99 operator damages your siding, blows out a window seal, or has an accident on your property, you’re holding the bag. We’re fully licensed and insured for a reason.
- Time on site. A proper soft wash and driveway job takes 2–4 hours. Cheap operators are in and out in 30–45 minutes. Guess which one actually gets your house clean.
We’re not the cheapest in town and we’re not trying to be. We’re trying to do the job right the first time so you don’t end up paying twice — once for the cheap guy, once for whoever has to fix it.
How fast can you respond to a quote request?
Same day, in most cases. Send a message or give us a call and we’ll get back to you fast — usually within a few hours during business days. We know “I’ll get back to you next week” is the fastest way to lose a customer.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes — and they actually are free. We’ll come look at the job (or do it remotely with photos for smaller jobs), give you an honest price, and let you decide. No pressure, no hard sell.
Is the cleaning solution safe for my plants and pets?
Yes. We use biodegradable, professional-grade cleaning solutions designed for exterior use, and we wet down landscaping before, during, and after to dilute any runoff. We’ll also let you know if we need pets kept inside during the job. Our mixes are built from sodium hypochlorite, surfactants, degreasers, oxalic acid, and sodium metasilicate — and it’s all about the right ratios, not just mixing them and hoping something works.
How often should I have my home or driveway cleaned?
In Northeast Florida’s humidity, most homes benefit from a soft wash once a year. Driveways and concrete surfaces typically look their best with a pressure wash every 1–2 years, depending on tree cover and traffic. Gutters should be cleared at least once a year — twice if you have a lot of trees or live near pines.
Will pressure washing damage my house?
It can — if it’s done wrong. High pressure on the wrong surface can strip paint, gouge wood, force water behind siding, and damage shingles. That’s why most home exteriors should be soft washed, not pressure washed. We assess every surface before we start and use the lowest pressure needed to get the job done. Damage prevention is part of why you hire a pro.
Why the name “Bee Clean”?
I chose the name Bee Clean because my daughter’s initials are HB, so as a baby she was my little honeybee. Her nursery was decorated in bees, and she had custom-made blankets, stuffed animals, and more. So when it came to choosing a name, I wanted something that meant something to me — something that would remind me why I’m doing this: all for my daughter.
